Excellent breakfast. Widest selection I have ever seen (yes, really!), including 3 types of herring (of course), but everything from ginger energy shot to chia starter, pancakes with home made jams and gluten free toast. Don't be late: end of breakfast means the curtain closes! Brilliant view (book rooms 'with a view' and watch the sunrise over the town and the fjord). Very central location, everywhere important is walkable from Gamle Stavanger (old town) to Oil Museum. Great 14th bar, (book in week or queue on Saturdays).

We stayed at several big hotels during our trip to Norway, but this was the best one. We traveled with our daughter, so always needed a room with three beds. Most places just used a futon-type couch that converted into a bed, usually with a very thin, hard mattress. The Clarion in Stavanger actually gave our daughter a single bed with a comfy mattress and great bedding. The beds generally were the best ones we slept in during our stay. Also very helpful staff who knew the area and could recommend local places to eat, they also made space for us to store our luggage even though their usual holding space was unavailable. Awesome breakfast buffet too!

We stayed here as a family of four. We enjoyed everything from the excellent location to the comfy mega sized pillows. The breakfast was great with plenty of choices. The view from the bar on the top floor was spectacular. The gym was well equipped with the best view as well. Special mentions go to the friendly and beautiful hotel staff members at the reception and the hardworking ladies at the breakfast restaurant. The bonus point goes to Ritual brand toiletries - what a treat.

We felt welcomed from the first moment. Check-in was super easy, and the room was exactly what we booked and expected. The gym is up-to-date and has a spectacular view over the city. TIP: Try out the outstanding cocktails in the Espier Bar on the top floor! (Located next to the Gym with the exact same remarkable view over the city and harbor) We enjoyed our trip to Stavanger and will choose the Clarion Hotel again if we come back.

My daughter came with me on a work trip and we needed 2 beds. The twin bed room had a bad view and beds were too small. I talked to the front desk and they gave me a better room with a heck of a view for my daughter to look at while I was at work all day. I was very impressed and had a wonderful stay. Breakfast was top notch as well.

Excellent breakfast with wide range of options. Staff is very kind and helpful. Great atmosphere, fireplace, nice decorations. Rooftop bar offers an amazing view over the city, staff there is very personal and helps to choose the right drink for the night. Room and bathroom are tiny but ok. Working soundproof.

Staff was extremely welcoming and friendly upon arrival! The hotel is located in a great location with easy walking to the main/central area of Stavanger and very close to the bus and train station! The buffet breakfast was excellent and had a great variety of selections!

Good location and excellent breakfasts. Staff were also attentive. We had a problem with the room initially because the window would not open. We were happily and promptly moved to another room. The room was comfortable. The Hotel had a bar at top of the hotel that we used as a lounge area later in the evening.

Distance to the city center was short. It was easy to get there. Breakfast was diversified enough for my tastes, including vegan. Rooftop bar and view was amazing.

Professional, friendly and helpful staff, great location, outstanding breakfasts. Clean and comfortable rooms, great view if you are on a right side of the building.
